De Engelse kunstenaar Henry Moore (1898 – 1986) is zonder twijfel een van de belangrijkste en bekendste beeldhouwers van de twintigste eeuw.

Museum Beelden aan Zee organiseert een groots overzicht van zijn werk, waar dit boek bij verschijnt. Centraal staan Moore’s inspiratiebronnen en de wijze waarop hij zich liet leiden door de aard van de materialen die hij gebruikte.
