Wall Stories: 20 Years of Street Art biedt een visuele en inhoudelijke reis door twee decennia
street art, vanaf de vroege ontstaansjaren tot de hedendaagse grootschalige muurschilderingen die stadsgezichten wereldwijd bepalen.

Het boek volgt het werk van Studio Giftig, het duo Niels van Swaemen en Kaspar van Leek, tweevoudig winnaar van de titel ‘Beste Mural ter Wereld’ door Street Art Cities, het grootste internationale platform voor street art.

Naast een overzicht van iconische murals geeft dit boek een zeldzaam inkijkje in het maakproces: van eerste schetsen en conceptontwikkeling tot technische uitwerking en realisatie op monumentale schaal. Ook wordt de ontwikkeling van street art in bredere context geplaatst: hoe een ooit illegale en marginale kunstvorm uitgroeide tot een erkende en invloedrijke beeldtaal in de publieke ruimte.

Een rijk geïllustreerd document over 20 jaar beeldkracht, stedelijke transformatie en artistieke evolutie.

Wall Stories: 20 Years of Street Art offers a visual and thematic journey through two decades of street art, from its early years to the large-scale murals of today that define cityscapes around the world.

The book follows the work of Studio Giftig, the duo Niels van Swaemen and Kaspar van Leek, two-time winners of the “Best Mural in the World” title awarded by Street Art Cities, the largest international platform for street art.

In addition to an overview of iconic murals, this book offers a rare glimpse into the creative process: from initial sketches and concept development to technical execution and realization on a monumental scale. It also places the development of street art in a broader context: how an art form that was once illegal and marginalized has grown into a recognized and influential visual language in public spaces.

A fully illustrated document chronicling 20 years of visual impact, urban transformation, and artistic evolution.
