For this book, twenty Spanish and Dutch authors drew inspiration from the works. Drawing on their own backgrounds and perspectives, they wrote personal stories and reflections centered on a single universal theme: love. Love between people, love for nature, and love for art.

Love can connect, move, and offer comfort, but it can also reveal longing, loss, and vulnerability. It is precisely this versatility that comes across powerfully in the selected paintings. The result is a book that brings together not only works of art, but also stories, emotions, and different ways of seeing.
